With over two decades of clinical experience, I have worked across diverse settings—including private practice (21 years), school psychology with the Lester B. Pearson School Board (14 years), community-based mental health (10 years), and psychiatric research at the Jewish General Hospital (3 years).
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and grounded in the science of human connection. I draw primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, which emphasizes attachment theory and the importance of emotional responsiveness in strengthening relationships with self and others. I am a dedicated ally to the neurodivergent community, passionate about researching and advocating for strength-based approaches, programs, and language when working with neurodivergent individuals and their families. My research centers on strength-based programs—especially those incorporating music—and how they support task engagement, social connection, self-esteem, and inclusion within the neurodevelopmental community. I am also deeply committed to knowledge translation and actively contribute through community writing, developing resources for families, and participating in teaching assistantships and tutoring.
Currently, I am entering my third year in the joint MA/PhD School/Applied Child Psychology program at McGill University, and I look forward to working with many more families!
